About Nandgaon Temple Nandgaon Temple, also known as Nand Bhavan, is one of the most sacred pilgrimage sites in the Braj region of Uttar Pradesh. Located in Nandgaon, around 50 km from Mathura and 8 km from Barsana, the temple is believed to stand on the site where Nanda Maharaj (Nand Baba), Mother Yashoda, Lord Krishna, and Lord Balarama lived after moving from Gokul to protect Krishna from the evil King Kansa. The temple is situated atop the Nandishwar Hill, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding Braj countryside.
This sacred shrine has been a center of spiritual energy and Vedic study for centuries.
